what is the review board?
The Review Board serves the critical role of peer review on our journal, just like how Nature or Science has scientists from all over the world read their articles before they are published. Basically, for fall quarter, Review Board Members pick up a folder on Tuesday of 7th week with two or three articles in it to review. They read through them, correct any mistakes, provide useful comments, and turn the folder back in the following Monday. The time commitment is doable, as it takes about a couple of hours to read through the articles and they have a week to do it. The Review Board is a great way to break into the publishing / writing process and to read the research of your fellow undergraduate students as well as network with faculty and staff.
